A Life of Service to Others

Justin Green has dedicated his young career to advocating for student rights and equitable education. Born and raised here in Deptford, New Jersey. Justin’s journey in public service began in high school, where he actively campaigned for student voices to be heard. This passion for advocacy led to his appointment at 17 as the first-ever Student Representative on the Board of Education for Gloucester County Vocational Technical School District, where he successfully introduced an initiative to provide free menstrual products in schools—a change that would later become law in New Jersey.

Today, at 19, Justin is humbled to serve as a member of the Deptford Township Board of Education. A political science major and law and justice minor at Rowan University, Justin brings both fresh ideas and first-hand experience as a student. As an Emergency Medical Technician, he’s dedicated to service and understands the importance of community safety and support.

Justin believes in using government as a tool for good and is driven by the need for transparency, better communication, and modernized systems in local governance. As one of the youngest elected officials in New Jersey and the youngest in Deptford, Justin is committed to amplifying youth voices, fostering inclusivity, and working tirelessly for the students, parents, and residents of his community. With a strong track record of tangible change and a clear vision for the future, Justin aims to make a lasting positive impact in Deptford.
