A Life of Service to Others

Justin Green, whose’s path has been defined by compassion, leadership, and a commitment to helping others; he has dedicated his young career to advocating for student rights and equitable education. A graduate of the Gloucester County Institute of Technology, Justin began advocating for students early on, serving as the 1st Student Representative on the Board of Education for the Gloucester County Vocational–Technical School District. During his time in that role, at age 17, he championed several student-centered initiatives, including improved access to menstrual products in schools—a change that would later become law in New Jersey.

In 2024, Justin earned his Emergency Medical Technician certification from the George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates. Shortly after, he spent a season in Vail, Colorado as a ski instructor, teaching hundreds of young children and working alongside colleagues from around the world. The experience strengthened his belief in patience, cultural understanding, and service to others—values that continue to guide his work today.

Later that year, Justin enrolled at Rowan University to study political science, with a minor in law and justice and a certification in Spanish. A dedicated student, he has consistently earned Dean’s List honors and is on track to graduate in Fall 2026.

At 19, Justin was elected to the Deptford Township Board of Education and was officially sworn in at the start of 2025, becoming one of the youngest elected officials in New Jersey. In this role, he draws on his lived experience as a recent public school student and aims to strengthen communication, support student success, and promote fairness and transparency in local education.

Beyond his academic and civic responsibilities, Justin is a passionate volunteer with Scouting America. He supports the organization’s international relations efforts and has represented Scouting abroad in more than sixteen countries. His global experiences have allowed him to work with diverse communities and deepen his commitment to youth leadership and cross-cultural cooperation.

Whether in a classroom, on the ski slopes, at a community meeting, or halfway around the world, Justin’s mission remains consistent: to serve others with compassion, uplift young people, and help build communities where everyone feels supported and heard.
